Keller has been classically trained and performing professionally for over 15 years, and has had experience in a wide range of genres including opera, musical theatre, operetta, oratorio, zarzuela and contemporary works. His performances have been reviewed to be “convincing” and “nicely emotional”, and his voice has been described as “exciting and rich” as well as “controlled, clean and expressive”. He has also been noted to have an “engaging stage presence with a sense of ease and naturalness”, as well as “possessing a flair for comedy”.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Keller received his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Kansas, and earned his Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from Arizona State University.

To gain valuable experience outside of school, Mr. Keller performed with young artist training programs; he was a member of the Janiec Opera Company with the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina, where he received the Hester Fund for Classical Music Studies and portrayed the role of Freddy in My Fair Lady. He also sang two seasons with the College Light Opera Company on Cape Cod, Mass., where he performed in over 15 musicals and operettas. At CLOC, he sang the leading roles of Fred/Petruchio in Kiss Me, Kate, Captain Dick in Naughty Marietta and Rochester in Jane Eyre, the Musical.

Professionally, Mr. Keller has been a solo performing artist in several concerts and staged productions, with companies such as the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Wichita Grand Opera, Arizona Opera, Opera New Jersey and Sarasota Opera.

No stranger to choral music, he has performed with the Tucson Chamber Artists, the Scottsdale Choral Artists, as well as Arizona’s premier, professional choral ensemble, the Grammy award-winning Phoenix Chorale. He is a featured singer on one of the Phoenix Chorale’s albums, Northern Lights: Choral Works by Ola Gjeilo, released by Chandos Records. The album was rated the ‘Best Classical Vocal Album of the Year’ on iTunes’ Best of 2012. He has also been the Tenor Soloist in many concert works with choir and orchestra, such as Hayden’s The Seasons, Beethoven’s Mass in C, Handel’s Ode for St. Cecilia’s Day and Handel’s Messiah.

Mr. Keller enjoyed being the Tenor Soloist for eight years at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church, in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he regularly performed as part of the Pinnacle Concert Series, “Time Out for the Arts”. Currently, Mr. Keller is in his third season as a Tenor in the Choir of the Church of St. Michael and St. George, in Clayton, Missouri, under the direction of organist, choirmaster and composer Robert Lehman.

While residing back in St. Louis since 2014, Ryan has performed with the critically acclaimed Union Avenue Opera, in the productions of Rigoletto, The Mikado, Tosca, and most recently Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel, directed by Broadway veteran Ken Page. Ryan has also performed as a Resident Artist with Winter Opera St. Louis in every production for the past three seasons, where he covered the role of Cassio in Otello and sang the roles of The Messenger in Il Trovatore and Bogdanovitch in The Merry Widow.
